Barron-Polk Performance Arts Festival 2017
Attached is a final agenda for the live performance judging at the Barron-Polk Performance Arts Festival on Saturday, April 8th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Turtle Lake High School. A version with room assignments will be available at the door.
Please enter the school through Door 8, on the south side of the building. Arrows and signs will direct you to the warm-up rooms and performance areas. Warm-up rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be a concession stand with food and refreshments run by the Barronett Dragons 4-H Club.
Performance times for the Festival are first-come-first-served, during the allotted time slots with some catch-up time later in the morning. (Dramas will be in the order listed.) Youth who have multiple performances may have to “squeeze in” when they can.
New this year, we will be taking pictures of the participants to display at the fair. Stop by the registration table just inside the entrance to check in, get a program, and get your picture taken.
Judges will review your entry and provide feedback on your performance. Exhibitors will be mailed their scores sheet after the event. Be sure to enter this on your fair entry form if you wish to receive premiums. Exceptional Performance ribbons will also be given as the judge sees appropriate.
Please bring a copy of your music for the judge. If you need a boom box to play a cassette/CD, you must bring your own equipment. Pianos will be provided for “piano” and “vocal” events. Warm-up rooms will be available, although there is not a warm-up piano.

Family and friends are welcome to come and enjoy the performances! Food will be available! Support all 4-H kids by attending performances! 4-H Dramas are fun for all to watch!
