Our system of producing and distributing food has effects on every aspect of our lives and our society - it's like the system of blood vessels that extends to every part of our bodies.

Regulations
- 2007 Updated fact sheets summarizing food regulations
Both fact sheets are intended to be simple road maps to help
with decisions on sourcing food and where to get more specific
information. We hope to increase the amount of local
food produced, purchased and consumed in Wisconsin and want
to make sure that producers and institutions are aware that
local restaurants, grocers, hospitals, etc. can buy
from local producers. In some cases, such as raw agricultural
fruits and vegetables, no license is required.
