The Barron County Master Gardener Volunteer Spring Garden Expo will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at WITC Conference Center, 1900 College Drive in Rice Lake, WI. Registration is at 8:30 – 9:00 am and the program will begin at 9:00 am. The topics covered in this year’s program are “Trends in Landscapes” – speaker Mary Dwyer, from Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, WI; “The Best Trees for Your Yard and How to Save Them” – speaker David Zlesak, is a professor of Horticulture from UW-River Falls, “The Best of the Best: Hydrangea Cultivars for the Midwest” – speaker Kathy Zuzek, a University of Minnesota Extension Educator, and “Tried and True Vegetables” – speaker Michael Racette, owners of Spring Hill Community Farm near Prairie Farm.
The cost is $30.00 per person. This includes continental breakfast, rice pilaf lunch, and afternoon coffee. Tickets at the door are $35.00 per person and lunch cannot be guaranteed. Register online at Barron County Spring Garden Expo.
